In a ripe and forward vintage, this is an anomaly—a low alcohol, rather gravelly wine with an emphasis on non-fruit flavors. Which is not to say it's faulty—au contraire, it's fascinating, with a well-mixed potpourri of forest floor, moist leaves, gravel and spice. Drink now and over the next couple of years.
