Dark and plum-colored, with scents of roasted coffee, toast and black fruits. Blackberry and black cherry fruit is lifted by some lemony acids. The challenge for these Rogue Valley Syrahs is to flesh out the midpalate fruit and keep the tannins in check. This is a good effort, though not up to the outstanding 2002. Just 95 cases were made.
