This Amarone shows dominant oak and vanilla on the nose, along with prune and licorice notes. The palate is also dominated by oak, vanilla and toasted notes, along with black fruit and alcoholic warmth. Overall, it's a bit dense, and while it lacks finesse, it is rich and does have its own charm.
