Initial butterscotch, vanilla and baked apple aromas turn to burnt corn and flatness with time and air. The palate is zesty but has no recognizable Chardonnay traits; it's big, pithy and won't turn any heads. || No other way to call it: this is pretty weak Pinot. The nose is hot, dry and offers mostly fiery cherry, while the palate is thin and tastes of bitter cherry.
