A little sharp and brambly, with aromas of violet, briar patch and rhubarb. It's decidedly racy in the mouth, with cherry and plum flavors that take on a slight candied character. Finishes with red-licorice candy flavors and some bite. || Reasonably fresh on the nose, but ultranarrow and tart in the mouth. In fact, it's borderline sour in the way it presents such linear red fruit. Tight as a drum and sheering. Can't say this is what we want from La Mancha. || Approach this simple Tempranillo with modest expectation…
