Mourvèdre provides a leathery backbone to an otherwise very fruit-driven wine from pioneering Paso Robles producer Adelaida. Graphite and pomegranate lead the aromas. On the palate, the medium-, almost light-bodied wine features purple flowers, raspberry, and more pomegranate, with a surprisingly strong acidity that delivers refreshing verve. This versatile wine could pair with everything from Chinese food and tacos to marinated skirt steak and chicken soup.
