Hints of toasted rye and cedar accentuate red cherry and blackberry flavors in this lush but strikingly brisk Bordeaux-blend. Aged four years in barrel, it's shaded with tones of savory dried herbs and earth, but still muscular in profile with bold, mouthfilling tannins. || Cherry and mocha on the nose start this wine nicely, and the flavors to follow—cherry, pepper, spice—are balanced and elegant. The tannins are somewhat aggressive and need time to soften. Give the wine 2–5 years and watch it unfold.
