Fulfills one of the main tenets of California Syrah, which is to feel velvety and vital in the mouth. The vineyard is better known as a source of Pinot Noir, and its cool-climate terroir lend brisk acidity, firm tannins and a cured meat note to the ripe blackberries and currants. Very delicious, and the price is great for the quality.
