Battle Creek has dropped its price significantly, but it still tastes like a fruity, everyday Pinot trying to compete in the big leagues. It's got light flavors of black cherry candy, very tart acids and a little zip to the finish; if there are any new barrels involved, they are currently in hiding. || Good color, dark and plummy, and there are strong spicy/herbal components to the nose.
