Although this Zin is fully dry, it's too soft in acidity, giving a flatness to the blackberry, cherry, licorice and spice flavors. Give it a bit more structure, and the score would soar. || There's a lovely sweetness to the fruit, which tastes like ripe, just-picked blackberries. Old vines, 100+ years, deliver sweet, supple, sexy fruit.
