This opens with aromas of raw red berry, chopped herb and a slight whiff of cellar floor. The tight palate offers raspberry, morello cherry, white pepper and licorice alongside austere but refined tannins. Give this a few more years to fully come together. Drink 2020–2030. || Aromas include rose petal, grilled herb, forest floor, coffee and ripe berry. The palate is still rather closed but offers black cherry, vanilla and espresso alongside astringent tannins that give it an abrupt, drying finish.
