This old-vine parcel of Erdener Prälat has yielded an impressively minerally and spicy spätlese, buffered by ripe apples and pears. A slightly oily texture suggests ample concentration, but the wine doesn't fully flesh out in the midpalate, leaving a slight hollowness that kept me from being more enthusiastic.
