This barrel-aged Viura shows the upside of what is normally a pretty ordinary grape variety. Melon, apple, hay and minerally aromas are lively and don't seem nearly five years along. The palate is smooth, with vital acidity and creamy flavors of melon and apple. Complexity and elegance come up on a spicy, white-pepper finish. Drink now.
