This is a pleasing blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, with tiny additions of Malbec and Syrah. It has a toasty flavor like coffee cake—think breakfast pastries, dusted with a mix of cinnamon and brown sugar. Toss in a cup of espresso and a splash of cassis, and you have a handle on the wine. || This shares some of the same coffee cake flavors as its companion, the Thorny Rose Red Blend, but here the flavors of stems and earth are a bit more evident.
