This delivers a solid mix of red fruits, herbs and spices on the nose. The palate feels a little jagged, but it's forward and contains lively flavors of cherry, plum, nutmeg and brown sugar. It's fruity on the finish, with a dash of cocoa. || There's a fine line between ripe and overripe, and this awkwardly toes that line with syrupy aromas and a sticky mouthfeel. Along the path are flavors of maple, fudge and stewed blackberry. A jammy, soupy, candied finish is apropos for a heavy, superripe wine such as this.
