The great depth of dark cherry fruit in this suave, seamless wine is somewhat obscured now by the menthol-toast oak notes. But even now the supple mouthfeel is seductive, the blackberry and herb flavors compelling, as are the espresso and licorice notes on the smooth, lengthy finish.
