A haze of smoked nut and toasted cedar envelop ripe, fleshy black cherry and raspberry in this rich, but elegantly balanced, Spätburgunder. Crisp, tart cranberry and cassis notes brighten the midpalate easing into a finish marked b fine but slightly bitter tannins. Drinks well now but should meld nicely from 2020.
