Championed by former winemaker James Healy, Te Koko is an attempt to take Marlborough Sauvignon in a very different stylistic direction. Barrel fermented with indigenous yeasts, it offers sweaty-musky scents intermingled with honey, melon and quince. Rich and oily, it coats the palate with slightly nutty flavors. This is unique stuff, well worth trying.
