Stalky, burnt aromas are gritty and not fully clean or appealing. A grabby, raw, tannic palate is rough and grating, while this tastes much like the nose suggests: stalky and tomatoey. Heavy tannins and a mild but steady burn add to the toughness of this Cabernet.
