Preston releases their red wines relatively late, and the extra time in barrel and bottle softens the tannins, and gives the finished wines a rounded quality. This is a solid effort, true to varietal, with plummy fruit, good balance, and a nice chocolatey, toasty finish that has just a slight taste of bitter banana to it.
