Flashy and opulent in style, this Chardonnay is full of ripe apricot, Meyer lemon, white peach and oak flavors. It would be quite a fruit bomb were it not for superb acidity and a mineral tang—like a lick of cold steel. The grapes are exclusively from the Bien Nacido and Sierra Madre vineyards, two of the best in the Santa Maria Valley.
