Break out the pizza with tomato sauce and gooey, oily mozzarella. That's what this tough, gritty Bordeaux-style blend with added Sangiovese needs to soften and mellow. It's a good wine, ripe in berries and spices, but rustic. || Upfront in sour candy flavors of cherries and raspberries, with a little caramel and smoke from new oak. Finishes on the simple, sweet side. || A sort of Super-Tuscan, although a rustic one, dry and acidic, with flavors of fresh berries. Cab Sauv, Cab Franc and Sangiovese.
